milknfizz meets Steph Douglas, founder of Don’t Buy her Flowers on Thursday 18th July 7:30pm – 9:30pm at Clarion Collection Hotel, St Albans.
Steph will talk about the juggle of running a business and raising a young family, relationships (after kids) being kind to yourself by pulling up the drawbridge in those early days of motherhood and the idea that we are all in this together because most of us feel like we’re getting it wrong… you will also have the opportunity to ask Steph questions during the Q&A.
Steph started Don’t Buy Her Flowers, a thoughtful gift packaging service for new mums and anyone who deserves some TLC back in 2014.
Don’t Buy Her Flowers was founded with a simple aim: to provide thoughtful gift packages for new mums, because they deserve something lovely just for them.
‘When I had my first baby, I received eight bunches of flowers. We didn’t have a lot of space and we certainly didn’t own multiple vases. I had to give them away or bin the least fresh to make way for the most recent. I also felt completely overwhelmed with everything – the baby, the visitors, the bodily functions – and trying to arrange flowers and then dispose of them was all a bit much, however pathetic that sounds. I found that other parents felt the same and Don’t Buy Her Flowers was born.’
The event will be held at The Clarion Collection Hotel in St Albans from 7:30pm – 9:30pm. The nearest carpark if you are driving is the NCP on Keyfield Terrace. www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/st-albans-…
Tickets are £20 (£15 early bird) and include a glass of fizz and milknfizz goody bag.
We will also be joined by some amazing local business run by mums who will be offering special discounts on their products or services on the night.
We look forward to seeing you there! 🙂
